🎆 Celebrate the 4th of July at Kings Point Pool!

At KPP, we love celebrating Independence Day together! People of all ages from our great community come together for a festive event.

Read below for the schedule of events and details, and get your red, white & blue outfits ready. YAY U.S.A.!

THE SCHEDULE: FRIDAY JULY 4, 2024

Here is the quick view, but read further below for more details.

• 10am Stars & Stripes Parade -- decorate your bikes, scooters, wagons, or whatever, and get ready to make some noise

• Pool opens after parade

• 12pm BBQ + Potluck lunch -- HOT DOGS provided by Piedmontese. BURGER BAR & CHIPS sponsored by the City of Centennial… read below for more.

• This event is a potluck!! Please bring your favorite summer side or treat to share. Make people buzz with excitement over your special dish!

• 12-4pm Jellyfish Junction Snack Bar open -- Sodas, ice cream treats, and candy available for purchase.

• GAMES! We are looking for people who want to run a volleyball (or other fun game) tournament for all ages! Please email kingspointpoolreccenter@gmail.com or sign up here if you are interested in volunteering to organize.

THE DETAILS…

If you haven't been a part of a KPP July 4th celebration, you don't want to miss out. Our amazing community gathers for this fun schedule of events and to enjoy some pool- time.

Seating can get hard to find, so come early or consider bringing your camping chairs. Feel free to bring your canopy tents for extra shade!

10am Stars & Stripes Parade

• Time: we start at 10am sharp! Be there early… late arrivals will miss out on the fun!

• Parade Route: As always, it will be a sweet trip around the block a few times - friendly for all ages.

• Get Festive: Decorate your bikes, scooters, wagons, yourself...or whatever. Make some noise. If you aren't riding a bike, create a noise maker (I’m a fan of pots and spoons). Paint your face! We want the neighborhood to know how much we love our country!

Pool opens after parade!

• As part of the day's celebration, we will open the pool 2 hours early! YAY! More fun for all! The KPP pool will be open for swim once the Stars & Stripes Parade is concluded.

12pm BBQ + Potluck lunch

• BBQ: Hot dogs provided by Piedmontese,  BURGER BAR is sponsored by the City of Centennial, so expect a delicious spread of burger toppings including a jalapeno & pepper tray. Chips also provided!! Thank you to the City of Centennial Community Engagement Grant!! We welcome anyone in the community to join the delicious hotdogs & burgers & potluck.

• Potluck: This event is a potluck!! Hot dogs and burger bar & chips are provided for free, so please bring your favorite summer side or treat to share. What’s your family’s favorite bbq /summer dish? We’d love to taste it!

GAMES - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

• A volunteer has already signed up to run the Cornhole Tournament (thank you, Rod!!).

• We are looking for people who want to run a volleyball, or other fun game tournaments! Please email kingspointpoolreccenter@gmail.com with questions or new fun ideas

Holiday celebration prep & clean up is a great way to get in some of your volunteer hours! Decorate the morning of, be on trash/recycle duty, run a game tournament, help with event clean-up.
